Moderators mta Posted February 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted February 6, 2018 g'day mauripereg and welcome, can you give us the name of the file in question? as a general rule, removing system files willy-nilly is not a good idea. mauripereg
thank mta for your aswer. sorry but the description of my problem is wrong.... I know that every time I execute Windows update the files updated are stored in my disk so that after some months I have some Giga occupied by these files... Can I delete these files with Ccleaner. Moderators mta Posted February 7, 2018 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2018 quick answer is Yes, but for those sort of files, I find using the inbuilt MS cleaner a better option. start an elevated command prompt and type in cleanmgr c: /sageset:1 tick all the boxes in the window that pops up. hit OK. then type in cleanmgr c: /sagerun:1 that will clean up all leftover update files.
