Recovering non-deleted files from dead SSD Drive

OK, this is my first post on this forum, and hopefully the last.

This September I bought a Dell XPS 13 and its hard disk died a few days ago. After replacing the hard disk I realized that, without any back-up, I'll need to dig my (non-deleted) files up from the dead hard disk, including some word files and photos.

As you can see, the hard drive is SSD (I'm getting a PCIe to USB adapter), which as far as I can google may not work that well in Recuva, so I want to know if there's a decent chance to get some of my files back.

doesn't Recuva only look at deleted files?
if true, Recuva won't help you.
plus it's all going to depend on how/why that SSD has died.

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.

Yes. it will look for non-deleted files, as long as it can see a drive letter. In Advanced Mode/Options/Actions check the fifth box down. As Mta says, success, or otherwise, may depend on how the SSD died.
