delfiwoc
Hi I created a image file .dd with DataRescueDD then I mounted with OSFMount and checked with Recuva to search files. Recuva shows the list of all the file with their size. I tried to save different files listed as Excellent on another real disk but no file is saved/recovered always the report says no file recovered whatever the size or the destination chosen. Any tips where to look for a solution? Thanks Angelo
Moderators Augeas Posted January 2, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 2, 2016 The reason given is 'Fine del file' which I assume is end of file. I'm not familiar with working with image files, but could the cluster address be out of range? What is the cluster size? Cluster number 31064933 is (with 4k clusters) in the 127 gb range. delfiwoc
I'm not familiar with files structure at all. But I mounted the virtual disk again and chose to correct the disk size to match the whole original HD size. In this case Recuva found a lot of excellent files. It recovered successfully the file but trying to open the files they are not usable. Something is maybe conflicting with recuva and the fileimage.dd?
