CCleaner doesn't analyze and/or clean Chrome's Cookies, history etc.

Recommended Posts

Hi, since last week whenever a run CCleaner it always commands me to close Chrome, even though it is usually already closed, and when I try to force it to close, it stays running, but doesn't analyze or clean Chrome's history, cookies etc.

I have been using CCleaner for a long time now, and have never had any problems with it.

I tried opening windows task manager to see if there was something still running, but there wasn't.

Same goes for cloud print or other google services that could have been running in the background (I also went on and disabled the option that would let applications to run on the background: menu->preferences->advanced preferences).

I ran CCleaner in debug mode (as instructed on this topic: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=37347), and got a log, which is attached.

I tried using Revo Uninstaller on both Chrome and CCleaner, but nothing worked.

I searched and searcher to see if I could find a solution online, but nothing came up.

If anyone could help, I would be very grateful.

P.S.

I tried uploading the log, but it said no file was selected for upload, so if need be, I will transcribe it.

Check your Task Manager by right clicking on the taskbar. Click more details if you don't already see the details. Look to see if maybe there are multiple instances or even the google update tool running. Somthing makes me think that another program is interfering. Try maybe reinstalling CCleaner.
