Bung
I'm using the trial version of Recuva, so deleted a particular folder. I'm not sure why, but I cannot find it with the Recover, pardon me please, I mean the Recuva program. Any suggestions and if so, please type very slowly so I can understand what is being said. Thank you very much.
Moderators Augeas Posted January 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2015 Recuva does not find or recover folders as a separate entity. It will reconstruct them in a file recovery if Restore Folder is checked. If you want to recover a folder just right click in Explorer and select New - Folder. There's no point in recovering an empty folder: you can't recover a 'full' folder, you have to recover the files inside it. (Typed at full speed.) Bung
Where does one check Recover Folder? Even typing at warp speed, I was able to read your response. Amazing. For those who cannot see my question, please let me know. Thanks!
Moderators Augeas Posted January 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2015 If you're running the Wizard, run the scan then press Switch to Advanced Mode (top r/h). Then select Options - Actions and check Restore Folder Structure. This will only work if the structure is able to be rebuilt. If the file has a path of ? then the folder information is missing and the structure can't be built.
