rcstoick Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Greetings...an odd error occured after watching a DVD: Error 4609, Catagory (50), a COM+ Event System problem associated with a critital Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-051 for COM+ and MS DTC (article#909444) - so it apparently happens quite often. I run a new WINXP Pro(32bit) on a P4RS400-A ECS Board, 3.0GHz and thought my system was going to hell because it would shut down after being on-line for 5-15 minutes! The solution was somewhat complicated and dangerous for me...being very much a novice...and I decided to run the WinsockFix application just because it was a connection problem - and it WorkeD!
