My recommendation is to add a button to activate advanced features in order to avoid possible mistakes to erase data. The idea is, for example, give more alerts in Registry editing or hide it.

i think the whole idea of Registry cleaning falls into the advanced bucket.

it's an area by its sheer nature that can potentially to more harm than good - which is the reason you are prompted to backup before continuing.

having said that though, i have never had it cause grief to me.\

 

but your suggestion has merit especially for a first time user.

I think something like this has been suggested, but the forum consensus was that people will go digging through the options and activate the advanced mode even as novices.
