Maicii
I would like to know what does those numbers means at HDD health tab. 1 Read Error 0 200 200 51 0x000000000000 "Real Value" "Current" "Worst" "Threshold" "Raw Value" My last Hdd had read error: 91 real value and now in my new its 0 so if I use common sense: its better to be lower than higher? Sob
Raw Value - the value of the attribute Real Value - what the raw value means The other three are sort of user-friendly rating and higher is better. Current - current value Worst - worst value of all times Threshold - current/worst should not get below this But it's more useful to look at real values. Because if e.g. there's just single unreadable sector, it will barely change Current value, but it's clear sign that drive is going bad. You can find description of individual attributes at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.
Moderators mta Posted October 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 27, 2012 raw value is in Hex (base 16), real value is in Decimal (base 10) Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
