Keith.
After running CCleaner, if I run tree size free it shows files in the recycle bin. In this case 0.3GB. Uninstalled the latest version and installed version 3.08.1475. Ran analyze and it found the 0.3GB and deleted it. Using Windows 7 with all updates applied
nodles
Which do you mean as "latest"? At the moment: TreeSize Free 2.6 CCleaner v3.13.1600 Try these and see if the problem occurs again.
Keith.
Those are the versions used. However, Tree Size says there are files in the recycle bin after CCleaner has run and shows nothing if analyze is run. Tune Up shredder deletes the files found by tree size so they are not phantom entries
nodles
Did you reboot between the cleans? Did you start CCleaner "Run as administrator"?

RunAmok
Keith - Is it possible that this only happens when there's a folder in the recycle bin? There's a thread started back in October which detalis a problem emptying the recycle bin under XP which was initially confusing since it only fails when there's a folder in the recycle bin. The good news is that a manual recycle bin "Empty' cleans up the incomplete results left behind when CCleaner attempts to empty a recycle bin containing a folder.
