Swampfox
I have never had this problem before but I installed CCleaner on a friends laptop and even with the box ticked "Show prompt to backup registry issues" it fails to do so. Restarted computer and unticked and reticked setting and restarted ccleaner only to find the same problem. It won't give me an option to backup before cleaning. Personally I don't backup anymore b/c I never have any problems but I wouldn't want my friend to get mad at me if something happened and she didn't backup. Should I reinstall the program or any suggestions?
pgsmith49
"It won't give me an option to backup before cleaning." Same problem here. I've searched in vain for any place to enable a registry backup. I've just learned about this program. Had hoped it would help me with some things. Yet, in spite of those who report there's no need to backup the registry, I'm still a bit leery of trying to use a new program like this very much without having that option. I'll try attaching a screen shot of what I actually see--don't even know for sure where the option switch shoud be located. CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS. I checked to see if there was an updatre that would help, but the report says I've got the most current one. I'm running a desktop with WinME.
