First of all. I want to say thank you for releasing this for Mac. CCleaner is the first software i install on any PC and for school i have a mac and have never found a good replacement. You guys are the best.

Since this is a beta release, i feel that there is a huge opportunity for improvement in the application and i'd love put forth a few suggestions.

  • The one thing I have never enjoyed about CCleaner for PC's is the update ability. I feel that the ability to update the application should be built into the app. On the mac, there is a simple framework that many apps use (adium, transmission, etc.) called sparkle. It's an incredible update mechanism for small applications and it would work very well for CCleaner for Mac.

  • One of the more useful features in the newer versions of CCleaner for PC is the jumplist tasks. This same functionality can be implement into the applications dock icon as well. The image below is how itunes implements this feature:

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE rethink the UI. The current UI works very well with on PC's because it flows well with the aero interface, Not so much with the cocoa interface. Please rethink it, it's not very mac like in it's current state. I believe that if UI cues are taken for Disk Utility or Onyx, the app will have even greater appeal to the mac community. One other small gripe that i have is the amount of CCleaner logo's that are present when the application is open. There is an icon in the dock, in the title bar, and a large on in the application itself. I believe that's 2 too many, just having the icon appear in the dock is plenty.

  • For more added features there are two applications that come to mind that could be used as example of what CCleaner for Mac can possibly do one day.

    onyx: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11582/onyx

These two applications do everything from maintenance to cache cleaning and those features can easily be ported to CCleaner.

  • There is definitely a need for preferences like there is in the windows version. Except dont put an icon in the application for settings, just keep it in the menu bar above (click CCleaner in the menubar --> Preferences). This will most likely come with time

That's all I've got for now. As i think up other suggestions, i'll continue to post to this thread. I hope you guys find this helpful and thank you soo very much for releasing this for the Mac. No matter what, this is a great product!
