Dettar Weyim
The most important things I can think of to report on partitions include not only what Speccy shows now, but also some marginally more difficult ones to find: 1) Cluster size - a critical performance measure 2) Starting offset in bytes (if you want to get really fancy, tell if it's precisely aligned to some higher unit; 64KB, 128KB, 256KB, 1MB, 128MB, etc.) - another critical performance measure Much less important but still very interesting items, primarily for RAID controllers and SAN volumes, include: A. RAID stripe size B. Whether the controller is in Write Back or Write Through mode B1. Is there a BBU (battery backup unit) or other NV (non volatile) technology for protection C. Read Ahead enabled D. RAID level of the Raidset E. Cache on the RAID card
