Thunderbird recover "ran out of memory"

I am trying Mozilla Thunderbird files from a hard disk that was factory restored. Recuva creates a file called Thunderbird emails.zip. When i try and restore it to another hard drive I receive the error message "ran out of memory". What does this mean? Any suggestions?
