mr don Posted April 26, 2010 Share Posted April 26, 2010 Could you add the ability to scan the registry for certain keys? For instance, typing symantec to remove symantec keys? Have a PC that the Norton Antivirus would not uninstall due to corrupted MSI file, & the norton remove tool would not work because "it is installed" after I had already scanned for & removed all the norton files on an external drive. What fixed it is running a registry cleaner where I could select & delete the symantec files, about 2-300 of them or so. Then Norton Removal tool could completely finish the job of ending services, removing keys, etc. Can you add the ability to search the registry for specific keys, say, symantec, norton, etc, so that we can remove left over trash from stubborn programs?
