Hi all

I have recently downloaded a version of CCleaner from cnet.com and it downloaded and instaled fine

However i set it to delete my internet history cookies and other things like that, however when it said 100% i went to check on the drop dwon menu to see if the history was there and it was, i restarted my pc then looked again and they had all gone.

A little later on i went on pc and loooked again and all the histroy was back again???? why has this happened and what do i do? thought i had solved it but i hadn't?

help i want to make it work as it looks like a great bit of software

thanks alex

Hello,

Windows will recreate anyway after a reboot the History folder and the Temporary Internet Files folder even if you had removed them previously; this is fine. What is really worth cleaning when you wish to clean them is to have their contents deleted...

Do you know what use are those folders for ?

You were talking about the folder C:\Documents and Settings\your_account\Local Settings\History weren't you?

(Windows XP)
