kroozer
When I run analyze it says 11.3 MB but when I use run cleaner it takes off 27.7 ??? Is it taking anything off that I should know about?. Analyze figure is just a quick estimate. On my system it almost always takes off more.
ident
Analyze figure is just a quick estimate. On my system it almost always takes off more. Really? I would of thought the estimate would always be higher because it doesnt take into account for files that cannot be deleted 856.2 MB to be removed. (Approximate size) 856.2 MB removed. Secure file deletion enabled - Simple Overwrite (1 pass) which was my last results. I'm not disagreeing with your post. I find it intersting No fate but what we make
kroozer
At least 90% of the time the estimate is low. I just now ran CCleaner. Analyze estimate was 39.5 MB, removed 55.5 MB, Normal file deletion.

kroozer
Yup. 40% more is a big disparity.

kroozer
you ever compared what was estimated and actually deleted? In these few minutes of posting, it was the first time I actually used a calculator to compare the results, but I've always noticed a disparity. ident
well look at the summery. after analyse save to text file and then the same after run and have a look No fate but what we make
kroozer
what i ment was, whats it deleting that was not analyzed Just now ran CCleaner. Analyze 29.9 MB, Complete 45.9 MB. The difference was in Windows Log Files: 1 KB before, 16,385 KB after. So Windows Log Files are not being fully analyzed.
