aldo
I personally have always found this annoying when using Defraggler. However, whenever you defrag a drive with big (Really big! > 1GB) files, it reports an incorrect percent of completion. Like ~99% of my drive is defragmented, but once it gets to the 1GB file it stays at 99% for a very long time. Yes, I understand that defragging a big file takes a long time, but I personally think the percentage complete should be not based on how many files have been defragged, but how much more size wise needs to be defragged. Not sure if it can be done, but for me, it would make things more accurate
John Gray
Intriguingly, I have exactly the same problem - but with acres of small files! The display can show 100% complete with no more files to fragment, and still the display of the current file at the bottom changes every second or so displaying what seems to be hundreds, perhaps thousands, of different small files. This process can go on for a few hours, before, suddenly, the defrag completes.
ePost
Is this the same if one defrags in safe mode? It takes a long time, I know, but more things are possible in safe mode...
