Hi

I am using the new version v2.22.968 and am very pleased with the improvements.

I have a question about using the analysis sheet.

When I run an analysis it shows me all the different categories and amount of files available to be cleaned or deleted.

Is there a way to select only one category and delete all of the files listed.

I know I can uncheck the items I do not want scanned and then delete the remaining ones.

But that defeats the purpose of having the scanner and adds addition configuring of the system.

Your reply will be appreciated

Hi Ray, and welcome to Piriform.

If I'm understanding you properly, you could only do that by unchecking the boxes in the matching category's to the left of the analysis window, and then run CCleaner.

Just as you have already surmised yourself.

The only other way is to start off with all boxes unchecked, and then just scan the category you select.

Hi Dennis

I have been using this system since it was called "Crap cleaner"

I was really excited about the itemized categories in the analysis page.

They are quite useful in having a summary of items in each category

But are useless if you cannot delete each one separately.

So as I see it we only have a new addition that could be seen in the old versions.

Thanks for the reply and I still prefer and continue using ccleaner for analysis and registry cleaning

There is the capability to clean each category separately. Right click on the category in Cleaner Windows/Applications and choose Clean.

Thanks for the info I can now do what I was attempting to accomplish.

Sorry about that Ray, just another one of CCleaners secrets I've missed.

Time to put my toys away and go out to play I think. :(
