Load to Taskmanger on Startup Vista Ultimate 32bit

This may be a stupid question but, I would like to have CCleaner loaded to taskmanger at startup.

Not do a clean at startup, but just sitting there waiting to be used when I ready to do a clean.

Do I simply add it to startup in start menu?, and why isn't this and option in program itself. I think it should be!

Maybe this option could be added in future releases. I usally do a clean after surfing the web, but have to

open it up first, then run a clean. It would be nice to have it sitting up there waiting, then right click and run a clean. Thanks

Let me know.

Welcome to the forum CjMcC,

I don't know of any way to load CCleaner at startup like you are requesting.

Instead of having CCleaner as an idle process, why not try the following.

What you will end up with is an icon that you double click and your done.

You will see the CC icon flashing in the system tray while its running.

From the Docs:

CCleaner.exe /AUTO CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. CCleaner then exits.

1) Right click on your desktop icon of CCleaner and copy it.

2) Right click and paste it on your desktop.

3) Right click and rename it CCleaner Auto then hit enter.

4) Right click on the CCleaner Auto icon and choose properties.

Under target add /Auto at the end then click OK.

Notice the space after the quotation mark in the example below.

"C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" /Auto

This gives you the option of opening the program with the standard icon, or running it fully automated with the auto icon.

Hi CjMcC

Actually, there is an easier way...

Open CCleaner...

Go to Option > Settings

Check on "Add Run CCleaner option to Recycle Bin context menu".

And there you go.

As you want, it's sitting up there waiting and all you have to do is right click and run a clean.

And because it is not in memory, well, of course, you save memory. ;)

Thanks for and AWESOME Program, and welcome!

Both options are good, but really I like second 1 better, I'll use it.

I keep all dessktop icons hidden, like the clean look.

Anyhow once I get some spare paypal green, I'll make a donation.

Thanks again

Yeah, I forgot about that one. Nice pick up metalj.

I like a select number of icons on my desktop to remind me to run the programs.

I'm glad that you found what you were looking for.

Have a look at the CCleaner guide to familiarize yourself with the program. (See link below)

You can also use the search function to find information on topics that have been discussed before.
