DEFRAGGLER REFRAGMENTS MY HARDDRIVE

WARNING ABOUT USING DEFRAGGLER

 

I regularly defragment my hard drive every other day. This time I thought I'll give my hard drive a good defragment with Defragglers updated program (v1.08.132) despite my hard drive only having 7.9 GB of fragmentation. Unfortunately the results speak for themselves. First thing I knew was a warning message from Windows stating that my hard drive was running out of space. This is quite amusing considering that my hard drive still has 176.3 gb left. So what happened? I realised, in time, before Defraggler would have shredded my hard drive.

 

Notice how total framented files has actually increased since using the program. Also, the Analysis result started with 7.9GB but for some reason this was changed when I Aborted the process??? There seems to be a bug in the Drefraggler program. Not sure why this has happen but hope that the Piriform team sort out this mess soon. I never before had a warning that my Hard drive was running out when it still has nearly 180 GB left.
