address bar

I have recently used c-cleaner and it did the usual of clearing out temporary internet files etc, but unlike the last time I used it, when I started re-typing and using favourites to re-populate my address bar entries on internet explorer, it won"t retain these addresses on the drop down box anymore. Can somebody help with this?

Have you changed versions of Internet explorer or changed the settings inside of IE? CCleaner cleans the files, but does not change the settings of IE. It should still show up as long as you have not made any other changes.

There's always an exception to the rule. I'm that exception.

Keith, thanks for the reply. No,I have not changed any of the settings as far as I can remember, which is not far, since my short term memory is not too good these days, but I am not too up on computers anyway.

Join the club astrid, I'm becoming famous for it. :D

I'm not an IE user, but maybe unchecking the "Recently Typed URLs" box might do the trick, unless you already have CCleaner set up like that.

Check out also the new Documents site HERE.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

Thank you for the info. David, I un-checked the box marked recently typed URLs, but I suppose I have to run something to make the tick effective. so far, I still can"t retain any addresses in the bar.
