markomus Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 I ran ccleaner's Registry cleaner in Vista. I clicked the options to save backup copies of deleted entries. To my dismay all my desktop icons disappeared--the icons only, not the shortcuts. I can bring them back by changing the icon size, but when I boot up again, they are all gone. I tried to restore the backup files. THEY were gone, too. Any advice? Vista Home Premium ATi 2400 Pro Tried: ==== * Reinstalling video driver * Restoring from backup: OOPS!
