Hi,

Thank you for CCleaner!!!.

I have one issue I need help with.

I'm using IBM X41 Laptop with a docking station and a LCD screen attached to it.

I have configured windows to support "Extended Desktop" using both the Laptop screen and the LCD.

The default setting places the LCD on the LEFT side of the LAPTOP, I like it on the RIGHT side so I configure it accordingly.

The problem is that every time I run CCleaner this setting is removed and the screen positioning changes to default.

How can this be avoided?

THANKS !!!!

Hi Danny,

Welcome. :P We are glad to have you as a member. :D

I am pretty much a "newbie" when comes to these configurations.

Only thought that comes to mind is turn off all advanced tabs as they do a lot of resetting to defaults.

The Custom Files and Folders you can leave on.

Does anything possibly related to the Application software show on the Application tab maybe wireless or infra red related ? I am asking to stir your thoughts and maybe provide some more info for the next member that can help.

Good luck,

:) davey

Thanks!!,

Did try removing the Advance Tab, but got the same result, even then, I really want to use the advanced tab....

I will try again, see if this changed over the versions.

Thanks again,

Hi again Danny,

Have you been using CCleaner all along ?

If turning off the Advanced cleaning options in Cleaner > Windows tab > Advanced cleaning list did not help then if you need them go ahead.

You are going to have to try the System cleaning list next. Maybe turn off one option at a time and see what happens. I did notice in my research that the Clipboard was mentioned several times as regards Multiple screens. You might start there.

Good luck,

Thanks Dave,

I've been using CC for quite a while now and have tried switching items on and off before but was unable to figure out which one does the job.

True, that was sometime ago, guess I need to retry with this latest version.

Will try and post my findings,

Thanks,

Danny M.
