Tom AZ
Is there any significant reason for keeping "Windows Log Files" -- or can they be "cleaned?" If this item is not checked in CCleaner, what is the normal retention time for these files -- and/or is there a setting somewhere to change the length of time these files are held before they're purged? Moderators DennisD Posted August 9, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 9, 2008 I've never kept them Tom, and I've never had an occassion when I needed to look at one. There has been times when the event viewer has been real handy, but never a log file. Just MHO of course.

I thought maybe the Event Viewer files were included in the log files. Good to know they're not.
