daggerXtreme
I know that you can encrypt and create a virtual file in truecrypt, and it creates a file as big as you specified. However, can't anyone just delete that file, and all your info is lost? Thanks, daggerXtreme
Talldog9
The file can be deleted, moved, rename just like a regular file. However it is not a flaw in truecrypt, as the data would still be secure. There is no end-all way to keep a file from being deleted, but there are many programs and methods that can help. The internet - Where men are men, women are men and children are FBI agents. daggerXtreme
Well, in complement to truecrypt, what programs and methods do you recommend? Additionaly, I know you can make a portalbe truecrypt in windows. Is it possible with a mac?
Talldog9
One of the most simple ways would be to bury the file in an insanely large amount of obscure folders in a 'hidden' and 'system' directory, and disable the showing of system and optionally hidden files in Folder options or whatever it's called. Then, you should be able to enter the full path to the file in truecrypt and mount it, but explorer wouldn't show it. The internet - Where men are men, women are men and children are FBI agents. Talldog9
I don't think there is yet for mac, maybe linux either. The windows version gets things first, like system encryption, with linux and mac following. It will happen though. The internet - Where men are men, women are men and children are FBI agents.
