BarbiD
Hello - I installed the latest version of CCleaner on a Win XP Pro SP2 laptop and each time I tried to run it, it gave me this error 'CCleaner has encountered a problem and needs to close.' I tried running it from a flash drive and got the same message. It runs fine on my PC. I downloaded the Visual Basic SP6 that I saw might help in another post but no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you. davey
Hello BarbiD, Below is extract from another members testing.Give it a try for now. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck, davey I had the same problem, solved it by unchecking all deletion boxes then enabling them one at a time, run cleaner until I found the culprit (in my machine anyhow). It was Windows log files for whatever reason. I left this unchecked and now CC works fine in any mode. Try that, it may be a similar problem.
