I installed Recuva and it worked fine - to the extent that the number of files recoverable from a supposedly cleaned disk shocked me. I then install Window Cleaner (Webroot) and ran it. I then ran Recuva again and received the message: Quote The instruction at "0x0044d4aa" referenced memory at "0x003bb4ef". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program Click Cancel to debug. Unquote Clicking on CANCEL to DEBUG produced the following Application error: Quote The exception unknown software exception (0x0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x59a7295d. Unquote Recuva log is attached. Hope this helps and would love to be able to run this prog again. Thanks.
