CCleaner removes History despite option *un*-checked

I have been using CCleaner for at least 3 years and have been installing it on all computers I am called on to fix.

 

Earlier in November I updated CCleaner on my home computer to whatever version at the time was the most recent. It took me a week or two to determine that my missing History was a result of running CCleaner, despite the fact that History has ALWAYS been unchecked on each version of CCleaner I've used. History is not deleted instantly upon running CCleaner, but as soon as I reboot I find all history is gone except for "today".

 

Since I do research, I often need to revisit sites and over the years have bene accustomed to using IE history to most quickly refind some sites.

 

Once I determined that running CCleaner was responsible for the clearing of my History, I downloaded the current version this morning. However, the same behavior is continuing!

 

I am now about to download an earlier version from Filehippo, but would appreciate any suggestions to change this behavior.
