Humpty
Not a very good comparison here with only five products tested. And as most know they aren't my type of security apps so don't shoot the messenger. PC Tools' Spyware Doctor 5.0 program for spyware detection and removal finished far ahead of its competitors in formal tests independently conducted by research company AV-Test.org.The Results PC Tools' Spyware Doctor 5.0 outperformed its Vista competitors. Grisoft's AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 and Webroot's Spy Sweeper 5.5 finished some distance behind. Neither Spybot Search & Destroy nor Windows Defender adequately protects against today's threats. And on Windows XP, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, in several performance areas, did not impress us. Article
JAGO
I'd throw that review into the gutter. PC World is biased and this review is completely unfounded. Something odd I've always noticed is that more 'mainstream' media often praises Spyware Doctor, but never seems to legitimate their claims. AVG AS, Webroot Spysweeper, and Spybot S&D are all better products. There's a reason why our community embraces the programs we do .
