The corrupted Recycle Bin file was located on an external HDD station, where I keep image files of my Backups.
The issue started after I deleted two image file backups. The deleted large files got stuck in the Recycle Bin and apparently corrupted it.
I finally managed to delete the large image backup files from the Recycle Bin one by one. For that I used the method that Hazelnut referred to, but since it was not successful, I used a little utility called Unlocker, by which managed to delete the two annoying files from the Recycle Bin after several deletion attempts.
Now everything is fine again.
Once again, thank you for your posts, they helped me going to the right direction.
