CCleaner Pro "Lifetime" Licence - why has it expired?

My 2 cents - when I purchased CCleaner Pro on 03/08/2018, I fully understood and it was presented to me as a subscription. I bought a 2 year subscription at that point. I'm just wondering why I received a "subscription expired" 20 months later...... (Yes, I've emailed support).
