I'm not sure just what you mean by these, did you have the app for eBay downloaded? Displayed as a 'tile'? I'm a seller and it's on my toolbar
(It's not a 'built-in' Microsoft app).

If you mean that you can see apps in your second screenshot (the applications list) but want them showing in your first (the pinned tiles) then simply right-click on the app in the list and select 'Pin to start'.

Not being sure just what you have done while "trying to get things back where they were" I'm unsure if you have reset back to Microsoft defaults, or even reset your whole Windows 10? Did not reset anything--just looked around looking for some possible one click solution.
If you have then you will need to go through the whole process of setting things back again to how you want them, as if you had just bought the computer.

To be honest it sounds as if something more than just a failed install may be going on here.
(Whether it's something you did while trying to get things back as you like, or something some software did it's impossible to tell yet. It may even be that Windows did a repair/reset itself when you booted, but you would have probably noticed that because it would take a long time). Problem started during first minute of download.  It asked to close browser and I said ok. Then rectangular red notices started popping up during the install. The first one said Ebay has crashed and to restart "click here". Before I could move 4 or 5 more notices that were nearly identical popped up and disappeared

.You don't say whether CCleaner pro did finish installing or not?  It did.
And it might help to know where you were downloading it from. From the notice which popped up saying a much newer version was available when I oped my free version to use.  It was from the official site.

n your machine then you can get reliable, free, one-to-one help to give it a thorough check over and help you get it working 'properly' again.
We can't do that here because of the rules on this forum, but if you look at number 10 in the forum rules it gives a list of 6 trusted places where you can get this help.
They all say 'Malware Removal' which is their main task but they are all quite happy just to help check out your machine for you and gett it running right.

Whichever you pick be sure to let them know you are not tech savvy and they will give extra steps to help.

Everything I use either takes forever or won't come up at all.  It definitely is extremely frustrating. Would it be safe to run Cleaner to see if it will correct this? I still can't close tabs except manually.  A shut down doesn't work.

Still having numerous problems!  Every short cut icon is gone!  I have lost over a day of work by trying to get things back where they were! Even my tabs have not closed since the CCleaner download! They will close only if I do each manually. Since my job has me moving around to different web sites and doing much research it's not unusual to have over twenty tabs open.

 

After shutting everything down overnight I did get ebay back along with the others but not their icons (shortcuts).  The problem is they no longer have the correct settings and I haven't been able to correct them.  I'm attaching screenshots of how I'm getting around. What can I do?  I am so sorry I upgraded from Free---it is not worth this trouble!

About an hour ago I switched from the free C cleaner to the C cleaner pro. While downloading I was asked if they could force google chrome to close because it was taking too long. I agreed and in about 20 seconds a quick box jumped up and said eBay has crashed to restart press and then the box disappeared and it was quickly followed by four more boxes that I didn’t even have time to read. I cannot find any of those boxes so I don’t know What

crashed and I don’t know how to get them back. I am definitely not text savvy. Can someone please tell me what I need to do? Thanks
