I have some deleted images showing up that I would like to be securely deleted, but the error that appears says that they have already been overwritten and are unable to be securely deleted. I used a program called Eraser in the past, which is likely the reason, but judging by the preview, these images have not securely deleted (I could have recovered them with Recuva). I read on the support pages that recuva cannot securely delete overwitten files, so I am wondering why? Is there anyway to shred these deleted images? Am I out of luck?
