I have a free version of ccleaner and when I run the cleanup it halts telling me that i have to close IE and Edge. I don't have either of these applications open so it skips cleaning their cookies. I have rebooted the PC several times but the problem persists. I have manually cleaned all of the cookies from IE and tried to run ccleaner again but the problem still persists. I can't even remove IE and Edge from my PC as Microsoft won't let me. Aggghhhh. Any suggestions to resolve this?
