  1. Thanks. But how do i know what startup programs i can safely remove, given what i use my PC for? The instructions seem to take a lot for granted. They refer to being able to safely clean everything, but when i cleaned jst a few items that i thought i could do without, my access to a number of websites was screwed up & i could not order anything online from them (some sites did work). The instructions, as is so often the case with such things, seem to assume that the user is already fairly familiar with the subject matter. I did not feel much more informed after reading them than before.
  2. It was suggested to me to get CC after my PC slowed down a little after a power surge. Problem is, i'm a non-tekkie & don't understand how to use it. Worse, i had cleaned a few things that looked safe & now i'm unable to place orders from several websites - various glitches occur. On the other hand, some work, so it seems this is not an across the board cookies problem. How do i correct it, & what can i safely remove from my system to gain extra space? I run Windows 98SE with Mozilla Firefox & use it only for email & surfing the Net. Please reply in non-teknikal language!!! BTW, my PC is much slower since i downloaded CC...how can i remove it if it comes to that?
