I am so pleased to report that I received an email alert from Piriform this morning and low and behold I decided to try again and was pleased that it downloaded and installed without any trouble. I am in Queensland, Australia.

Thanks hazelnut for the link to the latest update. It downloaded okay but failed to installed. The same old abort/try again message. I am not competent enough to try Andavan's method. I guess I will just continue on my way with Version 5.32.

Any news on when this problem with CCleaner is going to sorted.

CCleaner Free has become unreliable when it comes time to update to a new version. This has been happening for several months. I have Version 5.32.6129 (64 bit) installed at the moment on my Windows 10 Version 1607. I have been offered Version 5.33.6162. It downloads okay but will not intall . Gives the window about not opening correctly and gives option to abort/retry/cancel. I have had CCleaner Free installed for many years and this trouble has only arisen over the past 9 months or so. I am losing my confidence in the product.
