v5.35.6210 Can not be terminated using process explorer. It randomly runs the processor to 25% - why is it staying resident anyway? I had to block it from accessing the internet - I don't want it to check for updates but once it runs to 25% the only way to kill it is to reboot. Why on earth has CC recently been such a problem - the good reputation it earned has been destroyed after the way it was hijacked.

So was this actually something to do with the hacked 5.33 version I am running? I am still being pestered about changing browser settings but the link you posted does not apply - cansoem one actually state what browser setting CC is attempting to change and why - are we not entitled to a clear and unabiguous statement about this?

I am warned that CCleaner64.exe is attempting to change browser settings - this has been going on for a few months I think - I keep denying it as I've no idea what is being changed - anyone have any idea? I've been using CCleaner for quite a few years and this is a recent change in its behaviour.
