Hey there, I've overwritten windows 8 and all my files with ubuntu by accident I installed on the same drive rather then the external. So anyway now I'm wanting to scan the ubuntu ext4 system for fat, ntfs ect files. I've installed windows 8 on the external and have been using photorec to scan the whole disk for files the process has been running 15hrs with 342hrs! till completion, I used another software on first attempt "unerase64" which took about 4hrs but to recover files costs $100 so I want to try recuva but will it be able to scan ext4?
