  1. Thanks for all the help, guys. It doesn't boot in safe mode, and the f8 option's not working either. I guess it's gonna be a reload after all.
  2. I ran CCleaner on my laptop and ever since then, it's stopped booting. When I start the computer, it takes me to Startup Repair, which is unable to fix the problem for me. The make is Acer 5820T. The OS is Windows 7. I can't see my BSOD, even when I press F8 and then choose the "disable system restart" option (as advised in this thread http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=41625&hl=registry). It just takes me straight to another Startup Repair. I've been using Windows Security Essentials. When I tried using System Restore, it just says that no restore points have been created on the computer's system drive. I used sfc \scannow too, and I've attached a picture of what came up then. At the end of my tether here, and I'd appreciate from the bottom of my heart a solution that doesn't involve a wipe. Help please!
  3. I'm having the exact same problem (down to using CCleaner after reading that must-haves article. I ran start-up repair a good number of times, to no avail. Also tried chkdisk, scannow, everything I could think of. Please help, guys! Any way to fix this at all?
