  1. If you clean Windows size/location cache then any setting YOU make about how you to want to view things (list view, size of window,  etc) will be lost.

    See here for more info

    http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-rules/windows-tab/advanced-windows-files

thats is exactly what i want.

    thats is exactly my needs.

and if i already and ALWAYS tick that option. why the records "don't be cleaned"??

    ¿¿¿¿¿...??????

pd: ohhh. i forget. maybe the "Microsoft Fix".. fix "regedit", and make possible to "ccleaner" clean that options

  2. That is one of the reasons it is not a good idea to tick everything under the Advanced Windows section, for example.....

    Window Size/Location Cache

When you open and close Windows Explorer, Windows records folder settings for window position, sort order, columns, folder type, toolbar toggles, and search result views.

If I remember you had them all ticked.

Glad to hear you are sorted now:)

maybe i can't understand. im very lost.

all you say is contradictory, at less for me.

    you say.

is not a good idea to tick everything...

    but i thought the option

    "Window Size/Location Cache"

    is for CLEAN  ALL

folder settings for window position, sort order, columns, folder type, toolbar toggles, and search result views.

and thats is exactly what i want.... clear all that records,

if i NOT tick that option, thats records "not be cleaned"

    thats what i thought .

    i mistake? i wrong?

  3. When you say you watched a movie, how did you watch it?

    Streamed from the internet?

    From a dvd?

Downloaded the film and watched it on a media player?

When you click on the applications tab in ccleaner what do you have ticked for Firefox? (sorry nergal!)

    hi friend.

all the history is for files in my pc, NOT internet..

the history is for files, movies, docs. mp3, photos, etc.

i dont wanna lose my history for firefox. so almost all the options are disable.

  4. problem half solved.... but not with ccleaner.... and this just "hide" the problem.... the "history" still there.

this just disable the options "to see" the history... but NOT cleaned the history.  :(

To disable the AutoComplete feature in the Address box in Windows Explorer, and the Address box in Internet Explorer:

    1. Click Start, point to Settings, point to Control Panel, and then click Internet Options.
    2. Click the Content tab, click AutoComplete, and then click to clear the Web addresses check box.
    3. Click OK, and then click OK.

    PLEASE

    still wanna clean that history

  5. Ignore BagMRUs that registry entry isn't the autofill your want gone

but under that key in regedit. i found a lot of entries i want delete. lets see. example.

in my history, show a entry of a movie i see a week ago.

then i search the name of that movie in regedit, and i found that movie name under that key..

    then?

  6. Nergal in post #15 I asked member to tick all options under Internet Explorer apart from autocomplete and saved passwords.

In next post he said he had done this (also those entries he mentions in post #16 he must have added later to the post)

Perhaps time for an uninstall and then a clean install of CCleaner and leave settings at default.

    Are you the only user?

    hi friend...good day.

i am the only user, and i "Administrator"

    lets try again,

    unistall an reinstall.

  7. No typed url is not winapp2. This is already built in to ccleaner. Just the checkbox in "URLs recientemente escritas" in ccleaner, no winapp2 no regedit That checkbox is the cleaner for your issue Bagmru isn't the autofill of history Bagmru is shellbags

mmmm.... i'm lost here... are 2 orations, or 1?

That checkbox is the cleaner for your issue Bagmru isn't the autofill of history Bagmru is shellbags

    mean.?

the checkbox in "URLs recientemente escritas" in ccleaner.

is the option in "ccleaner" who supposed is "the solution" for my problem?

    and for:

Bagmru isn't the autofill of history Bagmru is shellbags.

    this really dont understand..

    sorry.

  8. Sorry no ignore what I  had here read below

no that isn't regedit. it is a built-in rule in ccleaner it's what ccleaner cleans under that entry including your issue.

That is what cleans it.  I can't tell you past there sorry.

thanks... and i think, maybe  i correctly understand.

i took the lines you give me and i add them to "winapp2 file", and i mean you wrote lines for "TypedURLs", but i don't see lines for "BagMRU".

    hope you understand.

or those lines aren't for that?

  9. Under System tick Windows Log Files (archivos de registo....)

Make sure under CCleaner..Options..Advanced that ''only delete files in Windows Temp older than 24 hours'' is unticked.

Do not clean machine when you are online on the internet :)

suggestions done, but the history still there.

    what do you mean about.?

Do not clean machine when you are online on the internet :)

    thanks.

  10. i think i correctly follow your instructions.

but, the history, all the entries STILL there.

    _______________________________________________________

i search in regedit some of the "name of documents" in the history. and in this keys have a lot of entries of history i wanna clean.

BUT is registry and of course i dont know what keys has be deleted, and of course i dont have the knowledge to do it.

    then???

    post-69985-0-11126900-1406701719_thumb.jpg

  11. Have you considered going into your Control Panel then....

    Internet Options

    Advanced tab

Untick..''Use inline autocomplete (outside of Internet Explorer)''

Then you won't get those entries in your Windows Explorer address bar anymore. (does not affect Internet Explorer)

    2.  Please turn off all your tickboxes under Advanced (Avanzada) in CCleaner. You are cleaning all the settings you are trying to change.

    3.  Why do you have the options under Internet Explorer unticked?

1.- that option always i have untick, and i think ccleaner should clean the history even with that option marked. ccleaner should clean the history in windows and internet explorer.

or is a option for the paid version?

2.- what do you mean?? in that i lost.

3.- that options unmarked is just a convenience, but the history NOT cleared even if mark that options.

    thanks.

  12. hi friends.... thanks for reply.....

Is XP installed on drive D?

not, xp is in C: and there is no anymore OS in the hard disk.

the screen i take show a partition D, but that doesn't important.

i could take the same screen in any other folder or window of the explorer.

    OK, I'll take a swing.

    - What happens when you try to clean them?

    - Did you shut down any processes that might be using them before running CCleaner?  For example your internet browser, Process monitor, etc.

    - Are the objects to be cleaned located in a virtual machine?

when i tried to clean? in what way i have to clean that entries?

**when i run the clean from "ccleaner", all history of all the others options be clean (recent documents, executions in start menu, history of firefox, etc...), all except that entries.

**there is no way i clean that entries, i tried without any other process, without any other software running, even in "safe mode", i uninstall and reinstall ccleaner.

**of course the entries are in the OS where the "ccleaner" has be installed. that is too obvious. forget about "Virtual PC".

like i say, "Ccleaner" not clean that entries no matter how i use it.

and for you know, the pc is fully clean of virus, malware and spyware, i spend hours cleaning just to be sure.

    ___________________________________________

    just to be sure.

do you know how that entries appear??

just open a folder, any folder, in any OS, and try to write anything, then the autocomplete of windows show all the previous history.

is jus the " Windows Explorer AutoComplete "

but i dont know how to clean that history.

    then???

  13.

if the first screen shows exactly your problem, then please call me stupid but all I am seeing is your Local Disk (D:\) with a big grey box covering your data and two red arrows that indicate you have a lot of files to scroll through.  from that I can't tell what you are trying to clean.

you understand correctly the problem. that is exactly my problem. i need clean all that entries, you clearly see is a lot of entries. and if you don't know what "option" in ccleaner should be clean my history,  i less.

    oooooooohhhh......

I thought this was the "Developers or Creators Forum".

is a domain from "Piriform" and is called "Bug Reporting", so, i am the stupid. jajaja :)

well. no problem. thanks for you help.

now understand i have to search help in other forums.

anyway thanks and have a good day.

  14. hi, "mta" thanks for reply...

    mmm....

i think the first screen show EXACTLY what "history" not being cleaned.

and for the second, about the arrow, ok, yes, it point to "executions", but that was NOT my intention, instead my intention was point to all "ccleaner options" for "windows explorer".

i think, is supposed all of you has to know what mean that options, right? is your software, right?

im just a user, if i had the knowledge of how your program work, i could solve the problem by myself, right?

anyway, if you forget about the second screen, i think the first is all you need for know what is the problem, that screen shows only a "folder".

what other kind of window should be that screen? firefox? IE?.... ¿?

or, really, really, that mistake for the arrow in the screen, is the reason for nobody could solve my problem? really?

  15. this problem is not new,

i mean. i always update to new versions. but the problem never got fix, so i stop wasting my time.

now im tired, and really want clean that history, so ask here.

well, i update just one more time, but im pretty sure, the problem still there

    ....................................

    ............................

    .............yes.

    the problem still there.

the history in the address bar NOT be clean.

    so, any ideas???

there is not any config using the "winapp2" file??
