i tried that it didnt work

ive been trying everything to get these files to recover to another harddrive or my computer, it never works and only a few pop up and say The device is not ready..

umm im not sure which format it was but it did it very quickly, not sure what brand but its hooked up thru usb cord and has a WD logo on the front andis 1TB

im using Windows 8 , im not sure which option in Recuva , i just deep scanned my external hard drive and now im trying to recover the found files to another harddrive, it goes thru the process and it doesnt recover any of the files

I Used Recuva to Find Files after i accidently deleted by formatting me external hard drive, im trying to recover them to a new hard drive but it doesnt work, its not recovering anything at all, what am i doing wrong?
