Looks like running the microsoft defrag accessory cleared the logjam for Defraggler. I'm running DF now and it's at 49%. Not sure how/why, but thanks again for chiming in.

Thanks, mta & hazelnut. Sorry for the delayed reply. My DF is 2.18.945 (64 bit), and my OS is Windows 7. The process doesn't so much get stuck as it does not advance. It looks like files are being accessed / moved, but the status never gets past 35% complete. I may abandon DF and simply use the Windows defrag tool - unless you know of a simple fix.

To clarify, the 35% is the status, and my fragmentation level varies (e.g., 4-9%)

Is this a common bug, where the Defrag function stalls @ 35%? Activity seems to continue, but the status and the remaining time don't advance any further? I tried reinstalling the program, but got the same result.
