Is it possible to restore the registry from DOS?

The answer is yes. From DOS type regedit.exe and then import the CC backup file. Quite easy. -

Alan_B can this be done from DOS? -
My PC was running pitifully slow so I cleaned the registry with CC then rebooted. Windows wouldn't start and I had to put in the Win7 recovery disk and can get to a C: prompt. The Startup Repair says "corrupted registry". I am not sure it was CC or something else, but my question is: Is it possible to restore a CC registry backup from DOS? If so, how? TIA, Bob
