Thank you both for your time. It seems that the video files I lost when trying to transfer to my pc can not be recovered as all the recovery software I have tried does not appear to work with MTP connections.

Hi Nergal Thanks for the reply. I have looked up MTP ( a new term for me) and I am not sure if it is MTP but the phone does not get a drive letter just shows as + (icon) HTC One X

Hi I have an HTC One X and want to recover some files, but Recuva doesnt 'see' the phone as a storage device even though Windows does. The problem I have is that duing cut and paste Windows or the phone lost the files. They didnt move and no longer appear on the phone either through the phone or windows explorer. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance.
