  1. I'll preface this by saying I don't know a lot about low-level HD operations. Is it possible that Defraggler is using sectors that are marked as bad? I used SpinRite to fix my Mom's harddrive recently. I should have moved her onto a new drive right away, but I've been busy and hadn't gotten around to it. Everything had been running fine for months, and now that I'm back here visiting, I decided to run Defraggler on her machine to clean it up a little. Well, after Defraggler finished, her computer was back to the same unresponsive mess that I was able to fix by using SpinRite previously. This was an immediate and dramatic change, so it led me to wonder if SpinRite was using sectors that had been marked as bad, and therefore causing her drive problems again.
  2. It would be nice to have a known issues page for bugs--and even nicer if there was a projected resolution date (if any) for them. (This would probably be nice for all products, not just defraggler.) I posted about Defraggler not working for 3TB drives: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=36398 Someone mentioned that this had already been metioned a couple times. (Not sure why I missed it my search initially.) http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=33887&st=0&p=211858&hl=+large%20+drives&fromsearch=1entry211858 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=34995 But rather than search the forums, a bugs page, or even a sticky on the bugs forum (which I did look for) would be handy. Anyway, just a suggestion.
  3. Thanks for the replies. Did a quick search for this but nothing came up right away. --Think I'll go to the suggestions forum and suggest a "known issues" page, unless someone already has that out there. The native windows defragmenter will handle the 3T drive, so I'll probably just use that for now. But it's definitely not as good. :-)
  4. Hi all, Defraggler v2.10.424 (64-bit) is failing with the message "Analysis Failed" on a Fantom 3T (3,000,581,881,856 byte) "GreenDrive3" USB drive. The error comes back right away. I have several other USB drives connected to my computer (all smaller, about 1.5 TB), and Defraggler works great on each of them. I only have a problem on this one (large) drive. I've attached a log file of the attempt in debug mode. Great product by the way. Absolutely love it, and great new features! Defraggler64.exe.2_10_4242012-07-28_00-37.txt
