  1. Thanks, the slim version is not available on Softpedia yet.
  2. I installed version 2.13.670 in March. It had a couple of additions to the scheduler but nothing that looked like a fix to the scheduler problem mentioned above. I schedule it to run once a month and as usual, the first time after a new install, Defraggler ran on the scheduled date. Yesterday was again the time for Defraggler to run. To my surprise it ran on schedule for a second time in a row. If it runs next month this problem just might be fixed!
  3. Actually that means that on almost all programs that I update they all change the 'Installed On' date to the actual date of installation. CCleaner always did too in the past. I have quite a few programs installed and I am sure there are a few that do not change the installed on date when they are updated but that is because they were not implemented with that option.
  4. This issue started with version 3.19.1721 when I installed it on 5/30/2012 and the "Installed On" date in Windows Add/Remove Programs Control Panel showed the install date as 5/23/2012. It has not been right since then.
  5. Checking the VSS, restore points and hibernation options brought the after defrag down to 0%.
  6. That would mean that 3,104 fragmented files were only 1.2GB of the total 43.9GB and 8,771 total fragments was only 2% of the total 50% and the other 21 fragmented files with 97 total fragments are the majority. That may be right but it sure does not look right! "...have you tried running DF with Stop VSS option ticked and Exclude restore point file & Exclude hibernation file options both ticked?" No but after I install the latest version I will select those options and then run it again.
  7. Hi, I read the Defraggler documentation on this site but it does not say anything about results. I am not understanding the after results. Before Defrag Analysis Results: 3,125 Fragmented Files (43.9GB) 8,868 Total Fragments 50% Fragmentation After Defrag Current State: 21 Fragmented Files (42.7GB) 97 Total Fragments 48% Fragmentation I assume the 21 fragmented files are locked system files but how can it be 42.7GB and what is the percent (%) fragmentation in reference to? Thanks Windows Vista SP2 32 bit
  8. I noticed quite a while back that when I update CCleaner the 'Installed On' date in the 'Uninstall or change a Program' window does not always change to the new install date like it does for many programs. Since I normally install the new version on top of the old version I figured that was why but today I completely uninstalled the previous version before installing the latest version and the 'Installed On' date is showing as 12/19/2012 which I believe is when I last updated CCleaner. I am not even sure where it got the date from since I uninstalled it first, ran Disk Cleanup and checked the registry before installing the new version. Recuva and Defraggle show the date they were actually installed on, even when just being updated. Windows Vista SP2 32 bit CCleaner v3.26.1888
  9. I have Defraggler scheduled to run a defrag once a month on the 28th day. Last month it did not run on the 28th. No surprise because as I explained above even though it is scheduled in Defraggler it was not showing as an active task in the task scheduler. I ran it manually on the 28th and checked the task scheduler the next day. It was now scheduled as an active task in Task Scheduler. Again no surprise as I also explained above. Earlier this month I installed the latest version of Defraggler (2.11.560). Today the scheduled defrag ran which I was not expecting since the latest version did not say anything about mods or fixes to the scheduling manager. This is the same thing that happened when I installed the last version. It ran when it was scheduled to run the first time but would not run again after that even if when I uninstalled and reinstalled Defraggler. It is looking like it will only run one time after a new version is installed then it will not run again through the scheduler until a new version is installed. The scheduled task is currently showing as an active task in the task scheduler. I do not expect it to run on the 28th of December but I will wait and see.
  10. I suspect that there are a lot of Defraggler users who are using the scheduler for periodic defragmentations and do not even realize that their hard drives are not being defragmented.
  11. I am running Windows Vista SP2 32 bit and the current version of Defraggler (2.10.424). In the last version (2.10.413) I set Defraggler's scheduler to run once every month. It ran fine the first month [and maybe the second] but did not run afterwards. I could open Defraggler and run a defrag or run it from Windows Task Scheduler using the 'run' option but not using Defraggler's scheduler. I tried several other scheduling options and different times in Defraggler but I could never get it to run again, not even after uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, deleting temp files and deleting all Defraggler entries in the registry. It also would not show as an active task in Windows Task Scheduler even though it was in the Task Scheduler Library and showed the correct status and trigger. I did eventually get it to show as an active task in Windows Task Scheduler but it still would not run again. One of the changes in the new version is "Re-architected scheduling manager". I downloaded and installed it. I scheduled Defraggler to run once every month and once again it ran fine the first month but did not run the second month. I cleared the scheduler and then reset it to run once for the next day. It ran fine so I scheduled it to run daily but it would not run again. Once the problem starts, if Defraggler's scheduler is set, the task does not show as an active task in Windows Task Scheduler until after the time has passed that Defraggler is suppose to run. After it shows active, if Defragglers scheduler is changed again it will still show as an active task in Windows Task Scheduler but still will not run. If the task is rescheduled in Defraggler again after it shows as an active task it will no longer show as an active task. The Defraggler scheduling manager is still not working correctly.
