I had the same problem (CCleaner running automatically when opened) and discovered a non-technical solution (i.e., it works, but I don't know why). I went into CCleaner's Tools/Setting and turned OFF the option to have "Open CCleaner..." appear in the Recycle Bin context menu (accessed with right-click). I then went back into CCleaner's setting and turned the option back ON. Now my CCleaner opens without running automatically.
