  1. The entry listed below is not working. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what I did wrong?

    [Cached File Extensions*]

    LangSecRef=3025

    Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

    Default=False

    RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts

    It's in the in the winapp2.ini list already. I kept editing, hitting f5 and waiting for the check box to appear with no luck then noticed it was listed twice :blink:

  2. A couple new ones

    [NirSoft RegScanner Backups*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\NirSoft\RegScanner
    Warning=This will remove all backups and reports made by RedScanner. If you backed up elsewhere these are safe to remove.
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\NirSoft\RegScanner|report.html
    FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\NirSoft\RegScanner|*.bak

    [bleachBit Error Reproting Log*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Bleachbit
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\BleachBit|bleachbit.exe.log

  3. Is there a way to get the DetectFile to point to %AppData%\Mozilla\FireFox\Profiles\unique numbers and letters .default\ ?

    for this:

    [AdBockPlus backups*]
    LangSecRef=3026
    Warning=This will remove all filter backups
    DetectFile=%AppData%\Mozilla\FireFox\Profiles
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%AppData%\Mozilla\FireFox\Profiles\*\adblockplus|patterns-backup*.ini

    not really a submitted entry as it'd show up weather or not they have the ABP extension installed

  4. [Apple Installer Cache*]

    LangSecRef=3023

    DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\Apple Computer

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Apple Computer\Installer Cache\*|*.*

    FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Apple\Installer Cache\*|*.*

    I did get a warning in the event viewer after launching Apple Software Updater if I removed the Installer Cache folder also. But the entry as is it works without trouble.

  5. I could test this entry on a friends PC with Windows 7 (x64) and latest iTunes 10.5.3 (x64). We used CC with the entry and started iTunes again: Absolutely nothing happened, no error message or repair-installer appeared and no re-download of the installer started. I think the entry is safe.

    I haven't had any issues with removing these

  6. New Entries

    [AVG AntiVirus 2012 Installer*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\SetupBackup|*.*

    [AVG AntiVirus 10 Installer*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\AVG10
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\AVG10\SetupBackup|*.*

    [AVG AntiVirus 9 Installer*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\AVG9
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\AVG9\SetupBackup|*.*

    stumbled apon this http://forums.avg.co...=show&id=161669

    %CommonAppData%\AVG2012\update is already cleaned by CCleaner

    That forum post is for avg2010 but the locations for avg9 - 2012 are the same

  7. [Windows Update Cache*]

    LangSecRef=3025

    DetectFile=%WinDir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%WinDir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download|*.*|RECURSE

    Rather controversial.

    I've always treated these the same as prefetch, I clean it maybe once a month, But definatly not for daily cleaning.

  8. In Defraggler Version 2.09.391 Selecting a boot time defrag option still unchecks Write Event to the System Log & Changes the Write Debugging info to None. If anyone gets a Volmgr Error check to see if these settings are changed: System Properties > Advanced Tab> Starup & Recovery.

    The default settings under System Failure should be:

    w5JNc.png

    Only having this issue in Windows 7 Professional 32bit

    In Windows xp Pro 32bit they change when selecting a boot defrag option but reset to defaults after a reboot.

    I'm starting to think maybe it's a Win7 issue and not a defraggler issue as WinXP resets them to defaults :unsure:

  9. Passing this along from the bleachbit forums

    Modified

    [batman Arkham Asylum*]
    LangSecRef=3021
    DetectFile=%Documents%\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%Documents%\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\BmGame|*.log|RECURSE

    It was "Detect=%Documents%\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\"

    As detect it was causing an error in bleachbit.

  10. New Entry

    [CamStudio*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio\
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|CamLayout.ini
    FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|CamShapes.ini
    FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|Camdata.ini

    After some more testing this entire entry can be left out.

    Cleaning Camdata.ini will cause the program to crash unless you open/close then reopen it

    Cleaning CamShapes.ini will wipe the annotaions list

    CamLayout.ini saves settings on close

    :blink:

  11. New Entry

    [CamStudio*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio\
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|CamLayout.ini
    FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|CamShapes.ini
    FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\CamStudio|Camdata.ini

    Those 3 .ini's recreate themselfs upon launching the software.

    All I've found out about them is they get bigger each time the software launches. Haven't found any settings that are reset by removing them. Anyone else with it want to double check?

    CamStudio.ini should not be removed as it contrains important settings like frame rate, ratio's, format etc.

    Edited Manycam. So it is listed as multimedia

    [ManyCam*]
    LangSecRef=3023
    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam\
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam|*.log

  12. I thought X-Chat 2 already had an entry but I can't seem to find it

    New Entry

    [X-Chat 2*]
    LangSecRef=3022
    DetectFile=%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\X-Chat 2
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\X-Chat 2\xchatlogs|*.*|REMOVESELF
    FileKey2=%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\X-Chat 2\scrollback|*.*|REMOVESELF

    Cleans the logs and the scrollback if enabled in X-Chat 2

  13. Also, changes the "Write debugging information", xdump to (none) ...

    Can anyone explain the details to us, why it is necessary to change these options in the "Startup and Recovery" before execute "Boot time defrag"?

    It's not really necessary, unless you're getting the Volmgr Error in the Event log.

  14. Volmgr Error Happens after selecting Boot Time Defrag then rebooting.

    When "Run Once" or "Run Every Time" is clicked it unchecks "Write event to system log" in "my computer >properties > advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Start up and recovery settings"

    FKRbI.png

    Leaving "Run Every Time" option in defraggler checked doesn't seem to uncheck "Write event to system log", Just happens when you initially click a option from Boot Time Defrag

    If I go into Start up and Recovery settings and check the Write Event box before rebooting the volmgr doesn't appear.

  15. I get this after running a full defrag then rebooting.

    This error will show every reboot unless I: Right click my computer > properties > advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Startup and recovery settings > and check Write event to system log.

    That fixes the error until I run a defrag and reboot again, Then "Write event to system log" becomes unchecked.

    Previously I changed Volume Shadow Copy service to automatically start. That fixed it until the latest version of Defraggler 2.08.373

    System:

    Win7 Professional x86 (32bit)

  16. New Entry

    [ManyCam*]

    LangSecRef=3024

    DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam\

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam|error.log

    FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam|instdrv.log

    FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam|VideoSrc.log

    All of those are recreated when manycam is opened.

    I left out "install.log" it's useful for troubleshooting an uninstall

    but it would be FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\ManyCam|install.log

  17. new update of ccleaner doesn't have the updated entries for AVG2012

    so here they are.

    [AVG AntiVirus 2012*]

    LangSecRef=3024

    Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\AVG\AVG2012

    Default=False

    FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\Log|*.log

    FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\scanlogs|*.log

    FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\Log|*.xml

    FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\update\backup|*.*

    FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\Emc\Log|*.log

    FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\IDS\config|*List.zip.bak

    FileKey7=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\IDS\profile|globalLoadable.bak

    FileKey8=%CommonAppData%\AVG2012\Temp|*.tmp
