  1. I have an issue with Chromium, settings file will get corrupted. When I open Tools > Startup > Google Chrome and when I right click an extension and select Disable, it will remove all the extensions there without any warning, also settings file will get corrupted, I didn't even clean my computer yet, I only disabled Google Wallet which I don't use and it wiped all extensions and corrupted my Chromium settings file.

    This similar bug has happened with 2 recent CCleaner builds, it removes extensions there though it should only disable those, it shouldn't corrupt my settings file either. I didn't have this bug in version 4.06.4324 if I recall.

    Using Windows 7 and Chromium 33.

  2. I have exactly the same issue with Chromium, settings file will get corrupted. 3. It removes desktop wallpaper, if you use it Windows will apply dark grey one color wallpaper as your new desktop wallpaper, if you like to use your own desktop wallpaper you have to re-define your desktop wallpaper.

    In my opinion this code is useless.

  4. CCleaner indeed removes TranscodedWallpaper.jpg from C:\Users\#Username#\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes, I checked that multiple times, that's why me desktop wallpaper keeps resetting itself.

    Because of this: (Why there even is this option in Winapp2.ini, please remove this option in next update)

    [Windows 7/8 Transcoded Wallpaper Cache*]

    DetectOS=6.1|

    LangSecRef=3025

    Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows

    Default=False

    Warning=You will have to refresh your background after running this!

    FileKey1=%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes|TranscodedWallpaper.jpg

  5. My desktop wallpaper keeps resetting itself automatically upon restart and cold boot, why it keeps doing that? Is it because of CCleaner? It resets my wallpaper with dark grey one color wallpaper, if I remember right I didn't have this issue before I used CCleaner.

    I go to personalize and change the desktop wallpaper, then I save it, but once rebooted it goes back to this dark grey one color wallpaper, but why? I checked that my wallpaper was there, it wasn't removed, but still it keeps resetting it.

    Am I the only one who has this problem?

    I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 with February 2013 updates, tho this happened with Professional too.

  6. So after I had all Chrome extension installed, I performed a system cleaning with CCleaner 3.25.1872 and then I restarted my Chrome, and then I noticed that this cleaning broke my extension completely, I tried to disable/enable it several times with no luck, I even reinstalled it several times with no luck, this extension is called RSS Feed Reader 4.0.9, I even can't access this extension options anymore, it kept all the other extensions as they are, but it broke this one extension. Previous versions of CCleaner didn't do this...

  7. [software Crashdumbs*]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%AppData%\Local\CrashDumps
    Default=False
    FileKey=%AppData%\Local\CrashDumps|*.dmp

    How about this? I'm not sure why it doesn't appear in CCleaner...

  8. Hiya!

    I'm not sure what causes these problems but i did a clean install for my pc last night and everything was very good, but after i ran CCleaner only one time to do the cleaning my modem went crazy and started to loose internet connection repeatedly, it makes my modem to search internet connection all the time and i can only approx search web 5 minutes then it starts to search internet connection, before my lag was 38-45ms but after i used CCleaner it jumped to 23kms.....i mean wtf is this!! I had to wipe my hd clean and reset my modem to factory settings to get my modem work again and not showing 23kms lag anymore, then my Firefox started to work normally again..

    I have Windows 7 x64 SP1 & Firefox Nightly 10.0a1

    When i did a clean install second time and did not use CCleaner everything is OK again...

  9. Hiya!!

    I just installed CCleaner to my laptop and then i found this interesting thing on it, i'm quite curious about this Wipe Free Space + MTF option, if i understood correctly what it does, will it leave all my files untouched and only removes previously removed files history in my external hard drive history, so there will not be any files in my HD's MTF anymore after running this tool? Will it leave all my files untouched and only removes MTF history on it?

    Thanx for the help guys!!

    PS: Is there any tools available which removes my MTF history on my HD's but leaves my files untouched?

  10. Hiya guys!!

    I just wondered that if i run Drive Wiper in my CCleaner and if i choose Free Space Only does it leave all my files in my hard drive and only wipes free space?? And will it empty my MFT too?? Does it leave all my files in my hard drive though i run it??
