  1. Thanks for the help. I'll give it a try.
  2. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm running Windows 7 with IE 11. CC V3.10.1525. I have not turned off any settings in CC as I have no idea where to start and I have not unticked my browser from the Windows tab, again I have no idea where to start. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
  3. No ideas anyone? Help or advice would be really appreciated.
  4. Whenever I run CCleaner I am unable to get back into one programme I use even though I have the cookies for this site marked to be saved. As a landscape photographer, I use a programme called The Photographers Ephemeris. This basically tells me where the sun will be at any time during the day. After I have run CCleaner on my PC all I get from this programme/App when I try to go back into it is a greyed out "I Agree" button. The "I Agree" button tells me I have problems with cookies for that particular site. I have no problems at all with any other site that I use after running CCleaner. Since I originally posted this thread, I spoke to the developers of The Photographers Ephemeris telling them the problem. They came back with the following: "You might want to check that CCleaner is not set to clear browser local storage for The Photographers Ephemeris. The web app primarily uses browser local storage rather than cookies, so it's possible that's getting cleared out." Not sure if that helps solve the problem at all.
  5. Great reply. That cleared them, thanks for all the help. Much appreciated.
  6. When I run CCleaner I find I'm still left with a large number of Cookies in the Cookies To Delite pane. I understand about the Cookies To Save still being there but not why there should be any cookies in the first pane. Any help or advice please?
  7. Perhaps there is a chance that Eset is trying to defend itself against any of its registry keys being deleted. Just a thought. I guess it's a possibility but I can't understand why I've been able to run the programme in the past and not now.
  8. What service pack do you have, SP3? SP3 What security software do you run? ESET NOD32 Is there a reason why you are trying to clean the registry, have you had a virus infection or something like that? I was looking in there to see if there were any problems, I've done it often before but never had the black screen problems. Have you had any other computer problems lately? I recently had a graphics card failure but that's really all. By the way the latest ccleaner version is 3.8. 1475 I'll update to the newer version, thanks for the help
  9. Everytime I try to run the Registry Cleaner on CCleaner, my system stops working and goes to a black screen. Any help or advice please? I'm running XP Pro and CCLeaner v3.03.1366 if that helps.
  10. I once had a dream that a really kind lady from Huddersfield came to my rescue when I had a problem. After unticking the box you mentioned, it worked, everything was cleaned out, thanks for the reply, much appreciated. You're a star. Mike
  11. Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find anything that matched. Everytime I press the Analyze button on CCleaner, I get told there is XXX amount of rubbish to be removed but when I press the Run Cleaner button, only a small part of XXX is removed. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
